Details

Meall Chuaich is a rather rounded Munro lacking any great character. Its position sitting slightly apart from the main Cairngorms ensures it is a superb viewpoint for upper Badenoch and Strathspey, as well as the Creag Meagaidh and Ben Alder ranges.

TERRAIN
Tracks for the approach followed by an eroded path up the hill itself make this one of the simpler Munro summits.

PACE
You must have the fitness and stamina to complete the walk without difficulty. We will walk as a group at a **moderate pace**

CLOTHING & EQUIPMENT
You must ensure that you come adequately prepared for a winter walk, crampons, ice axe with waterproofs, warm clothes, gloves, hat, food and water. Map and compass and head torch are essential.

We will be at the car park at 09:15 to start walking at 09:30
