What we’re about
Here we discuss all things Power Platform including integrations and use cases for each module such as Power Apps, Power Pages, Power BI, Power Automate, Copilot Studios and D365 in order to drive an innovative technical community that fosters creativity.
At SPPUG, our mission is to create a welcoming and inclusive space for all individuals interested in the Power Platform. We aim to foster an environment where developers and users at every level can come together to learn, grow, and develop their skills.
With a focus on growth and development, we provide a platform for expert speakers to share their knowledge and insights. Josh Giles presents: "Extending Modern Controls in Power Apps: Building Fluent 2 Experiences"
Modern controls in Power Apps have unlocked a new era of app design with a sleek, accessible, and consistent look based on the Fluent 2 design language. But what if you want to go beyond what’s available out of the box?
In this session, we’ll explore how to extend and customize modern controls to create truly beautiful, cohesive, and user-friendly apps. You’ll learn practical techniques for enhancing the user experience, aligning with Fluent 2 principles, and building apps that both look and feel modern — without sacrificing performance or maintainability.
Whether you’re new to modern controls or looking to level up your design skills, this session will give you actionable strategies to build next-level Power Apps experiences.Sean Astrakhan presents: "Extremely Accurate AI"
AI doesn't have to be a “Black Box”. With just a few Azure tools you can take complete control over what AI is doing and get the exact results you expect....EVERY TIME. This all-demo session will showcase how the right combination of Azure AI Search, Azure Functions and Azure AI Foundry, can consistently give exact results in Copilot Studio and Power Automate.
These techniques aren’t theoretical! They’re what took our AI practice from distrusting, to being essential for how our business runs today.Part 1: Azure AI Search
After configuring AI Search live, we’ll show example after example of how AI search outperforms OOTB Copilot Studio connectors (Dataverse & SQL) both in speed and accuracyPart 2: Complex Queries WITH Complex Transparency
When you need to ask Dataverse complicated questions, you need to get creative. We’ll build an Azure function that leverages the TDS endpoint in Dataverse, and can answer complex questions about your data, even ones that FetchXML can’t handle!Part 3: AI Foundry
Having a Copilot is nice but what if you had a Clone-pilot? i.e. an agent that sounded exactly like you who could respond to questions, so you don’t have to. We’ll explore fine-tuning in Azure AI Foundry that literally uses your data (not prompts), to sound like you, and not a robot.
