Scottish Power Platform User Group is proud to present amazing sessions from community superstars Ian Tweedie and Duncan Boyne

Ian Tweedie presents: "Enabling low code developers to create custom client reports with a helping hand from Azure"

Are you looking to empower low-code developers with the ability to generate custom client reports or outputs from Dataverse? In this session, I’ll show you how to leverage Power Automate and Azure to create secure, personalized reports, such as membership certificates or invoices. Whether you’re already familiar with using Dataverse, Power Automate connectors, or SharePoint, this session will introduce a new layer of flexibility by allowing clients to trigger the process through a web link—securely and contextually—using Single Sign-On (SSO).

Duncan Boyne presents: "The Family Reunion: Bringing Power BI into the Power Platform Fold"

This session will reposition Power BI as more than just the misunderstood, quirky relative of the Power Platform family. I'll show how it naturally integrates with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse, busting myths and clearing up the common hurdles.

Key points include: Demonstrating how Power BI’s analytics and visualizations complement familiar Power Platform tools. • Simplifying DAX and Power Query concepts by tying them back to what attendees already know. A live demo where we build an interactive dashboard using Dataverse for real-world impact.

In a nutshell, the session aims to empower professionals with practical insights while keeping things refreshingly light and engaging.
