Albert Einstein did not believe in a personal God — the kind of deity who intervenes in human affairs, rewards or punishes, or is central to traditional religions. He explicitly rejected the idea of a “God of theology” who rewards good and punishes evil, calling such a concept “naïve” and “alien” to him.
