Atonement — Book to Movie Brunch Discussion
Details
Join us for our May meeting of Books to Screen: Women’s Brunch Club, a women-only brunch book club in Scottsdale focused on books that have been adapted for film or TV.
Our May selection is Atonement by Ian McEwan, a beautifully written and emotionally powerful novel that explores memory, guilt, love, and the consequences of a single moment. Atonement is both intimate and sweeping, moving from a quiet English estate to the chaos of World War II, while questioning the nature of truth and storytelling.
Along with the book, we’ll also discuss its acclaimed screen adaptation, Atonement, known for its striking visuals and unforgettable performances. Together, we’ll explore how the film interprets the novel’s structure, characters, and its unforgettable ending.
