Welcome to the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy hike group!
The McDowell Sonoran Conservancy preserves and advances Scottsdale natural open space through science, education and stewardship. We help ensure visitors have a safe and enjoyable visit to the McDowell Sonoran Preserve.
The Conservancy offers over 50 guided hike events between October and April each year. We believe that connecting with nature is critical for our mental and physical health.
Hike events are held at the seven trailheads throughout the Scottsdale McDowell Sonoran Preserve. Hikes focus on interesting aspects of the Sonoran Desert and range from 2 miles up to 10 miles in length. Difficulty varies with the hike so read the event description and choose the best hike for you.
