New York State of Wine Ride 2023

The trip is on for next month. Members, please confirming your attendance simply by sending to me a Zelle payment for $80.00 per person. Please call if you are unable to use Zelle.
Get your other hotel reservations in for the Ride on your own. Details are in your emailed invitation.
Day 0, 9/9, Friday Arrive at The Lodge on Galway Lake
Day 1 - 9/10, Saturday, All at or out and back to Lodge today,
Day 2, 9/10, Sunday We will take the long way to Cooperstown NY
Day 3, 9/11, Monday, We will head to the Finger Lakes and Watkins Glen. Numerous Wineries, scenic viewpoints, Watkins Glen State Park, The International Motor Racing Research Center and Watkins Glen International Speedway all nearby.
Day 4, 9/12, Tuesday We will head south to Pine Creek Gorge, "Pennsylvania Grand Canyon" for 50 miles of views and falls.
Day 5, 9/13 Wednesday, North to Letchworth State Park, after seeing what we'd like we will head to enjoy Canandaigua.
Day 6, 9/14 Thursday, Fort Ontario, then Thousand Island's Park and Alexandria Bay
Day 7, 9/15 Friday we will return to the Lodge at Galway.
Day 8, 9/16 Saturday, do as you please - I will be there the next few days.
Extended Fun on the way home?-- For those wishing to perhaps see the Wings and Wheels Seaplane and Car Show, in Hammondsport NY, It is just a 3 ½ hour trip (mostly west towards home) by highway and it is a pretty neat event put on by the Glenn H Curtiss Museum, featuring the following:

10:30 AM – 12:00 PM Seaplane Take off & Landing Contests and Bomb Dropping Contest (Awards presented during banquet)
12:30 PM - 1:00 PM Fire Boat Demonstration – Depot Park
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM Seaplane Salute to Glenn H. Curtiss, Father of Naval Aviation Includes fly-over of Glenn’s gravesite at Pleasant Valley Cemetery
Or, It is a pretty nice drive up through Niagara Falls and then through Canada out near Detroit on the way to Chicago, which actually adds almost no distance to the trip.
