Scriggler Live is back for the new season and we are moving to a brand new venue - a new performance space at the Cellar in Finborough Arms.
We are getting together for a night of poetry, storytelling and music, for a chance to see some great performances, showcase your talent and meet and greet your fellow Scrigglers.
If you happen to be in London on the 29th of October - come down, it will be great to put names to faces and get to meet you in person.
We are running an open mic set, reserved for both poetry and prose, so don’t be shy - come and show us what you’ve been working on.

As always we have a really exciting program and this time we have shifted the focus to storytelling:
Mike Russell
Mike Russell from www.strangebooks.com (http://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.strangebooks.com%2F&h=SAQEcMt_g&enc=AZPNYUg3GeieUk1FWzIJzJ8GUjbR_dW46ejnD9GAjtjRjpP01jwnvylTDxoTTZKuz0U&s=1) will be performing mind-expanding stories. Inspiring, liberating, otherworldly, magical, surreal, bizarre, funny, disturbing, unique… all of these words have been used to describe the stories of Mike Russell so put on your top hat and open your third eye!
Peter Kennedy
Peter Kennedy reads from his bleak, beautiful Brother’s Grimm style collection Fishermen’s Tales. Jet black fables with accordion accompaniment.

If this wasn’t enough we have music from the supremely talented
Joe Innes
When he was young, Joe Innes found and subsequently buried a dead rat in his garden. This event is the subject of Pet Cemetery – the opening track of his debut release 'The Frighteners', and is a good example of the offbeat observations that litter his songs like a bin lorry rolling down Solsbury Hill.
Usually seen playing with his band 'The Cavalcade', Joe's become firmly rooted in London’s music scene over the last couple of years, and perfected a loud and energetic live show that gets audiences clicking and howling (literally) and has won the band favourable comparisons to The Decemberists, Bright Eyes and The Mountain Goats. After spending the summer playing some of the UK's biggest festivals including Secret Garden Party, Wilderness and Camp Bestival - the band are currently recording their first full length album.
“Showstopping” – Steve Lamacq BBC Radio 6
