Ever wondered what it would be like to become a scrum master with no scrum master experience? Tarryn found herself in a precarious situation where she had just lost her job, a newly single mother and not sure where life was pointing her. She got a unique opportunity to try her hand at being a scrum master but had no experience. She was petrified, low on self-confidence, but took the leap of faith. Tarryn shares funny, raw, and real lessons she has learnt in this role. What has been interesting is how so many of the skills Tarryn acquired over the years, have been very transferable into this role and often very unassuming skills.
This talk aims to share, how using skills you already have, could position you to be a great scrum master. There are so many barriers to pivoting careers and particularly becoming an Agilist in practice. Let Tarryn’s story inspire you to believe in yourself, utilize the skillset and toolbox you already have, to be more agile in life and work.
