Nigel Baker and Scrum Event presents - Agile-ish: When Half-Baked Becomes Half-Broken
Abstract:
Degeneration of Process over Time is Death. Thin people get fat. Party people get addicted. Quiet people become isolated.
In this talk Nigel will explain how he has been experimenting with ideas on quality of method vs value from method - And will go on to workshop some of these initial ideas here with you.
Is some Agile better than none? We explore which agile practices still deliver value even when implemented imperfectly, and why just enough might actually help in complex systems.
However, certain methods don’t just fail when misused - They backfire. Discover why some tools are too sharp for sloppy handling.
Nigel will propose a new visual lens to evaluate practices: Does their effectiveness scale with the quality of implementation or do they break entirely?
