Scrum Event and Tim Herbig Presents - How to Make Real Progress with Product Strategy, OKRs & Discovery

Abstract:
Most product teams are stuck in "Alibi Progress" – perfectly executed frameworks that look good on paper but don't drive meaningful results. In this interactive session, you'll learn how to connect the dots between product strategy, OKRs, and discovery to create what actually matters.

You'll walk away with:

  • The Progress Wheel framework to diagnose why your current practices aren't working together
  • Quality checks to audit your strategy, OKRs, and discovery for real-world value (not textbook correctness)
  • Practical techniques to make your product decisions evidence-informed and strategically aligned

Session Format
This isn't another slide-heavy presentation. Tim will kick off with a brief intro, then we're diving straight into an interactive hot seat format – think live podcast meets mini-workshop. Bring your real challenges; Tim will use a live Miro board to work through examples and connect concepts to your actual work context.

About Tim

Tim Herbig has spent 15+ years helping product teams move from busy work to meaningful impact. As a product coach working across industries, Tim has seen the same pattern everywhere: teams drowning in frameworks while struggling to connect their daily work to business outcomes.

Bonus: We'll play a little game during the session, whose three winners will get a free copy of "Real Progress"!
