Please note that this is a snorkeling trip, not a scuba diving trip.

Intentionally submerged by the government to create a safe haven of anchorage opportunities for local boaties, the Tangalooma Wrecks now rest on the ocean floor offering an underwater paradise to explore.

Scuttled at various points during the ’60s, ‘70s and ‘80s, there are now 15 ships to explore just off the coastline, with many of them protruding above the water at low tide. Spectacular coral formations now call the wreckage home, attracting marine life great and small at the viewing pleasure of visiting snorkelers.

Cruise down the Brisbane River, snorkel the Tangalooma Wrecks, enjoy a fabulous buffet lunch and spend time on the beach at Moreton Island.

The itinerary:

• 9:00 - Meet at Rivergate Marina, Murarrie
• 9:30 - Depart the Marina
• 10:45 - Arrive at Tangalooma
• 11:00 - Snorkel the wrecks
• 12:00 - Tropical Buffet Lunch
• 13:00 - Free Beach time & Kayaking
• 14:30 - Marine discovery cruise
• 15:45 - Depart Moreton Island
• 17:00 - Arrive at Rivergate Marina, Murarrie

What to bring:
Hat, towel, swimmers, sunscreen, sunnies, change of clothes, cash/card for onboard bar/alcoholic drinks/other purchases.

Onsite car parking is available for $10 per day, or free all day parking on the street. If you wish to park onsite, please pay when you arrive at the boom gate at Rivergate Marina.
