How long have you been knitting? New enthusiast or old hand? What are your favorite knitting techniques these days?

I've knit for a little over 20 years and my current favorite techniques are socks on two circular needles, stranded colorwork (Fairisle knitting), lace, and beaded knitting.

What kind of objects do you like to knit? Do you keep 'em, sell 'em or give 'em away?

I knit socks, hats, gloves, gifts for new babies, scarves and lace. I keep the socks, gloves & lace -- and give the rest away. I am not so good at knitting sweaters for myself - fit is my bugaboo.

How did you start knitting? Who taught you and how did you catch the bug?

Mom Wiz taught me the basics long, long ago. Since then I've taken many classes and I love to learn new techniques.

What is one topic you want to learn more about in knitting or fiber arts, and why?

I want to learn more about sweater fit

Howdy knitters! I am spinnity: 40-something info geek and long-time knitter. I am a yarn and book collector -- I love Rowan, Koigu, Noro and sock yarn. I enjoy unusual knitting techniques like side-to-side construction, modular and shadow knitting.
