How long have you been knitting? New enthusiast or old hand? What are your favorite knitting techniques these days?

Started knitting quite a while ago, stopped and then restarted recently. My heart belongs to Arans and cables. Well, that's because those are my only projects.

What kind of objects do you like to knit? Do you keep 'em, sell 'em or give 'em away?

Sweaters, socks, scarves, mittens, afgans (that was a crochet project). I'll keep or give them as presents.

How did you start knitting? Who taught you and how did you catch the bug?

My elementary school gave me my first lessons. After that books and magazinesW.

What is one topic you want to learn more about in knitting or fiber arts, and why?

Alternate fibers besides wool. I am mildly allergic to wool. Unfortunately, I'm even more allergic to any creature from the goat/camel/rabbit family. That leaves plant fibers, silk, fibers derived from oceanic creatures...

Looking for a friendly group of knitters
