"Trees of Tudek" Guided Walk for Young Professionals

Details
Join The State College Young Professionals for a leisurely walk-through Tom Tudek Memorial Park where you will discover common trees, their beneficial environmental impact, learn the basics of plant identification and basic botany terms. The walk offers an opportunity to connect with nature, ask questions, and observe the details that make each tree species unique.
The approximately 0.5-mile walk will take place on asphalt and/or gentle paths. Restrooms nearby. Please wear comfortable shoes.
Although not part of the tour you will also have the opportunity to view the Snetsinger Butterfly Garden, a unique attraction at Tom Tudek Memorial Park. For years, the Snetsinger Butterfly Garden has been a safe and thriving habitat for more than 30 resident species of butterflies. Thanks to the work of dedicated volunteers such as the Centre County Master Gardeners, the Butterfly Garden at Tudek Park has developed into a place to view beautiful butterflies and plant species in their native habitat.
