Charlie Chavez has performed and recorded with locals such as pianist Irving Florez, bassist Danny Weller, bassist Rob Thorsen, drummer Mike Holguin, guitarist Dusty Brough, and percussionist Jon Szanto, as well as making appearances at Duncan Moore's Drum Summit. His band Afrotruko plays Latin Salsa music.
