This month we'll take an introductory look at TDD in Kotlin, including:
- A quick overview of some of the test and assertion framework options available
- Michael Feather's "Set of Unit Testing Rules"
- Uncle Bob's "Cycles of TDD": the "Three Laws of TDD" cycle, the "Red-Green-Refactor" cycle, the "Specific/Generic" cycle, and the "Architecture Boundaries" cycle.
- Uncle Bob's "Transformation Priority Premise"
The usual schedule:
6:00-6:30 - Food and networking
6:30-7:30 - Announcements and presentation
7:30-7:45 - Intermission and raffle drawing
7:45-8:30 - Remainder of presentation and teardown
8:30 - You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here
We'll be raffling off another two more 1yr personal subscriptions for a JetBrains Toolbox product of your choosing, a $149 value each! Don't forget to bring small (or large) bills for however many $1 chances to win you want to buy.
Your RSVPs determine the size of the food order, so help us help you. ;)
