What we’re about

Born between 1980 and 2000? Live in (or visiting) San Diego? We may be the Meetup group for you 😁

Our events will tend to be more like museums visits, go-karting, mini golf, escape rooms, zoo trips, popup markets, trivia nights, bowling, karaoke, picnics, arts and crafts, beach days, and of course breweries and brunches (because hey: what Millennial doesn't like brunch šŸ„ž and what San Diegan doesn't have an opinion on IPAs?)

There are plenty of social Meetup groups that do bar crawls, club hopping, pool parties, salsa nights, and hikes (seriously, why does every SD Meetup group seem to do hiking events? šŸ˜…)

Those other Meetup groups are great and are filled with some awesome people, and we'd still encourage you to join them if their types of events appeal to you, but if you ever want to change things up with chiller vibes and lower pressure hangouts consider joining us at our events šŸ˜Ž

For the best experience possible, please take a look at our member rules, guidelines, and expectations below:

1. Zero Tolerance Policy: We do not tolerate any form of harassment, bullying, etc. We want our members to have a good time and to always feel safe and welcomed. If you or anyone you know felt bullied or harassed in any way by another member during an event, please let one of our group’s organizers know.

2. No Show Policy: Planning these events takes a fair amount of coordination and planning. Please change your RSVP to ā€œnot attendingā€ if you cannot make it. Failure to do so will result in being marked as a "no show." 3 "no shows" and you will be removed from the group.

3. Late Policy: We will usually wait for attendees to arrive for about 15 minutes. If you're running late or plan on arriving to the event later than the scheduled meet time, kindly inform the host through the event’s comment section.

4. Respect: Be respectful, courteous, and understanding of your fellow members. We come from various backgrounds and strive to make this a safe, fun, and friendly place for all.

5. Contact Exchange: Use your best judgment when exchanging contact information with other members. No one should feel pressured to give their contact information if they do not want to, even to an Organizer or Host.

6. Name & Picture Requirement: When joining this group, both a clear profile photo showing your face, as well as a name which you actually identify by are required. Membership requests with questionable names and/or pictures may initially be declined at the discretion of group organizers until they meet the organizers’ standards.

7. Event Guest Policy: It is preferred that all individuals attending events create their own Meetup accounts and RSVP themselves. However, if planning on bringing guests, please indicate the number when RSVPing to an event. This gives hosts a more accurate headcount so they can better prepare for any logistical and safety concerns. Be aware that hosts and organizers may limit the number of allowed guests when posting events. Also, members who bring guests that were previously removed from the group will be asked to leave the event and may be removed from the group themselves.

8. Event End Time Policy: Please respect the posted end time of an event. While attendees are welcome to stay after an event, organizers and hosts will not be expected to stay with attendees past the posted end time of an event.

9. Alcohol Policy: If alcohol is available at an event venue, please drink responsibly.
