Hiya!
My name's Tom! I am originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and moved to San Diego with my wife a few years ago. I am a new dad with a 1 yr old and 2.5 yr old and work a wildly stressful job in tech (mostly remote from home). Between family and work, it's been tough to meet folks who are at a similar point in life and also use the outdoors as a getaway to re-energize.
I usually focus my getaways on the following:
- PQ / Poway / Lake Hodges for some chill Mountain Biking (Greens / Blues - nothing too risky / crazy)
- Torrey Pines State Beach / La Jolla Shores to ride the swells in the back (I ride on an eFoil, but if you have a paddle board, kayak, etc and down to join in the swells, more than welcome! I usually only go out on chill days when waves are 4ft or smaller as I'm still picking up de-powered swell riding)
- Singles Tennis at RPTC, UCRC or RBCTC (I'm Intermediate Advanced between 3.5/4.0 rating and my uber goal is to get enough people of similar level to get some mini-tournaments going!)
