North Park Toyland Parade

Parade info:

Greetings from Victoria House Corporation, the Host of the 53rd Annual NORTH PARK TOYLAND PARADE!  Saturday December 3rd, 2016

This year, the 53rd edition of the Parade, will be sponsored, once again, by Victoria House Corporation (VHC), a group of dedicated residents and volunteers who organize and execute the Parade from start to finish!  After the Parade, we celebrate with a Festival.  At the Festival, a stage of Christmas choir singers and musicians playing Christmas songs.  There will be a “fun zone” for kids to enjoy!  We must not forget…Santa will be there, too, for kids of all ages to visit! It is a wonderful opportunity to support a time-honored tradition in North Park, the Toyland Parade. As you may know, North Park is enjoying a period of renaissance; there are new businesses opening and the arts are thriving! With that, we are enjoying increased support from civic-minded residents, businesses, and community groups eager to celebrate our special neighborhood.

The Toyland Parade starts at the corner of Utah Street and University Avenue (San Diego, 92104) promptly at 11:00am!  The Parade route runs straight down University Avenue and ends at Herman Street (see picture).  For further details, check our website toylandparade.com along with all the information to participate.  The Festival runs from 12:00pm to 3:00pm, located behind the North Park Theatre at 2891 University Avenue, San Diego, CA 92104.

All during the year, we are continually collecting new, unwrapped toys and food donations for deserving families in the community.  Feel free to drop-off any donations, at any time, to our office and/or the day of the North Park Toyland Parade and Festival on Saturday, December 3rd, 2016!  We will also have drop-off locations within the community businesses around the Christmas Season.

In closing, if you have any questions, or know of other groups that would like to participate in this year’s Parade, please call the VHC office, phone (619)[masked]

I'm not going to make it either. Still wrestling with removing the rear wheel to change the tire. Anyone have a spare impact wrench or breaker bar?

Thanks for good wishes. Surgery was successful, and I have a spare foot (on the other side) anyway. Should be riding again soon.

Perry: "Toy Ride is set for the 11th." (In our Dec. 3 ride.)

Dave: Perry, please check your site; it says clearly that the event (and our participation) is on Saturday, December 3rd -- NOT Sunday, the 11th. Can you explain the discrepancy, and verify the correct date?

  • Perry

Yes we ride in the parade. Decorate your scoot, your self. No Santa Suits! No throwing or handing out anything for the safety of the kids.

  • Gary C.

Will we be riding in the parade?
