Join us for a relaxed sunset hike and beach picnic at Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve.

We’ll start with a short hike down the scenic Beach Trail, which winds through the sandstone cliffs and descends to Torrey Pines State Beach. Once we reach the sand, we’ll grab a spot to hang out, enjoy the sunset, and share a casual potluck-style picnic on the beach.
After sunset, we’ll walk along the shoreline back toward the parking area, so there’s no uphill hike at the end.

### Plan

• Meet near the entrance to the reserve (plz do not show up without an RSVP! I will remove you from the group!)
• Hike the Beach Trail (should be about 2 miles)
• Beach hang + picnic while watching the sunset
• Walk the beach back toward the parking area

This is meant to be a social, relaxed event — plenty of time to hang out, chat, and enjoy the ocean views.

### What to bring

• Something small to share for the picnic (optional, potluck-style)
• Water
• A small blanket or towel to sit on
• Comfortable walking shoes
• A light jacket (it can cool down after sunset)

Important: Food is not allowed on the trails inside the reserve, so please keep any picnic items in your backpack until we reach the beach.

Exact meetup spot will be posted in the event comments.
Parking can be limited on weekends, so arriving a little early or carpooling is recommended.
