Alexandra founded the Advance Tech Podcast where she interviews founders, leaders and developers in the emerging tech space. She is VP of Product at LQwD Fintech, a Lightning Network Company, and has a background in product, business development, and digital transformation. She attended Stanford Open University and graduated from the University of British Columbia.
Ben is first and foremost a really really cool dude with a terrific smile, great bod, and magnetic charm. He was the first product manager at Visa Crypto where he (unsuccessfully) tried to get them to implement Bitcoin across their payment network. So, he left Visa Crypto and their stablecoin, NFT, and CBDC ways in order to focus exclusively on Bitcoin. He is the founder of OpenSats, a 501(c)(3) charity focused on building a sustainable ecosystem of contributors to free and open-source projects, specifically focused on Bitcoin. Since OpenSats is 100% passthrough and nobody running the organization makes any money, Ben also happens to be very poor... so, he started another venture last year called the Bitcoin Company. TBC is still under development, but aims to be a full service Bitcoin bank, bringing traditional fiat banking AND Bitcoin services together into one application. TBC's first product-line, a Bitcoin rewards application should be launched by the time he speaks at this meetup... until then Ben will be buried in legal and compliance work, so be nice to him when you see him.
