FilmNet's One-Year Birthday Party!!!

Greetings, fellow film professionals! We’re coming upon a whole year since we restarted monthly networking events in March 2025, and it’s time to join us in celebrating all things FilmNet. That means this month’s panel is going to be made up of the major players in making the events the glorious gatherings they’ve become. The topic is going to be the history of the film community and the conditions that made it all possible, FilmNet’s sweet evolution over the past twelve months, and where we’re going, the future of FilmNet and filmmaking in San Diego.

Stay tuned for a special announcement from Karl and SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKERS!!! And as always, we’ll be enjoying a red carpet (on the 3rd floor) and photo stations c/o Tony Amat and our beloved partner R3 Productions, food and drinks for sale, a studio tour (at 5:30 pm), more free headshots and lots of flashy, campy, Hollywood-style fun. And of course, more exciting networking opportunities to give you the chance to make ALL the connections you really want to make.

Filmmakers Network San Diego's Monthly Event is back!!! At long last we’re starting up monthly networking events again to support the local film community. It's going to be even more hands-on, interactive and productive this time. Besides networking and hosting guest speakers, we will showcase short films and promo material, work on pitches and invite industry gatekeepers to hear them, put on fun games and contests as well as many more enriching activities. Networking includes supporting local producers, creators, actors, crew and film professionals in their effort to assemble teams and develop content and marketing opportunities, along with original FilmNet content and a documentary of our group, events, participants and their projects. Feel free to bring a guest or two!

5:30 PM: Behind-the-Scenes Tour
6:00 PM: Intro, success stories, special guests
7:00 PM: FilmNet 1-year anniversary panel
