WERE YOU AT FILMCON? Whether or not you made it to this groundbreaking convention and expo, its impact on the San Diego filmmaking community continues to resonate. And this was just the first annual FilmCon!!! From education to enlightenment, from exposure to crucial connections, Spark Studio’s grand experiment touched so many of us in many important ways. That’s why we’re going to have a FilmCon Debriefing at the August 11 FilmNet event, with a panel of folks who were essential in its planning and operation and/or had a life-changing experience at the two-day mega-event.
We’ll also be showcasing how the approach to filmmaking is rapidly evolving in ways that directly advantage indie filmmakers. The evening will include one-minute creator pitches from FilmNet members. Have something to pitch? Let us know.
As always, we’ll be enjoying a red carpet afterparty and photo stations c/o Tony Amat, Mauricio Navarro and our beloved partner R3 Productions, a studio tour (at 5:30 pm), food and drinks for sale, and lots of flashy, campy, Hollywood-style fun. $10 admission at the event.
