Join me & my dogs on a Springtime hike to see one of San Diego's best loved rock formations: the Eagle! We will begin our hike at 8am after meeting where we park our cars on the road near the Warner Springs community resource center, on the west side of the highway across from the fire station. Please note: The Warner Springs Community Resource Center leases its building from the Warner Unified School District (WUSD). The building is considered on school property, as is the surrounding area (parking lot, etc.) The WUSD has notified us that hosting hikers on-site during school hours is not in compliance with San Diego County of Education's Joint Power Authority and the California State and Education Code. We cannot use the restrooms at that location. If you need to restroom stop along the way, you can stop at Don's Market at 30250 Hwy 78 in Santa Ysabel.
Approximate Hiking Distance: 6.3 miles
Approximate Length of Hike: 3 Hours depending on pace
If you have a time constraint & need to leave the hike early, please
notify with the organizer.
Approximate Pace: Easy dog walking pace.
Approximate Elevation Gain: 856
Estimated Difficulty Level: Moderate
Meeting Time: 8:00 am, we will start nlt 5 mins after the posted start time.

We will hike through a beautiful oak grove and across a meadow toward Eagle Rock. There's only shade at the beginning of this hike. Most of the trail is exposed. Once we reach the eagle, we will take a short break for photos and snacks. We will retrace our steps back to our start.
