4+ mi Easy San Dieguito to Del Mar Riverpath & back with dogs

Please join me & my pups on one of our favorite dog hikes. A morning hike in Del Mar. unfortunately the Del Mar Dog Memorial has been removed. We will not cross the train tracks & walk to the beach. The pin on the map will take you to our meeting place by San Andreas Drive. We’ll meet at the trailhead off of San Andreas Dr. at the cul-de-sac behind Petco. There's an outhouse in the area but It's best if you stop at McDonalds (in the adjacent shopping area) for your bathroom needs prior to the start of the hike. We will hike along the San Dieguito Lagoon Trail, the Del Mar River path and to the bird viewing dock for a break then back to our start.
There are also chemical toilets near the dog memorial.
Please pack sunscreen, sun protection & water for yourself & your dog & try to be on time in respect to the others who arrive on time.

If you have a time constraint & need to leave the hike early, discuss with the organizer at start of the hike.

PARTICIPANTS: This is a Ladies only group. No children, spouses are allowed to hike with us. If a friend would like to join us on a hike, they must join the group. New members & non-dog owners are welcome!
Dog Group: You are completely responsible for the behavior and welfare of your dog and yourself. The host is not responsible for you or your dog. By participating in this event, you acknowledge your responsibility and liability. Dogs must be at least 8 months old and fully vaccinated.
Bring water and a bowl for your dog. Bring water and a snack for yourself. Bring MORE water than you think you and your dog might need - summer hikes can be harder on your dog than you might think.

LEASH REQUIREMENT: No retractable leashes are allowed on this hike. Only leashes 6' or less in length are permitted. Dogs must remain on-leash for the entire hike.
SPACE: Do not allow dogs to meet via nose to nose or nose to tail interactions, especially upon arrival. Maintain a minimum 3' distance between dogs at all times.
REACTIVITY: Please position your dog in the back of the pack if they are reactive or uncomfortable in a group. Alert other owners when their dogs get too close to your dog and/or invade your dog's space.
YOUR CAPABILITIES: Read the entire hike description carefully. Know your limits. Sign up only if you feel the hike is doable as-described and bring all recommended materials and equipment. If you do not bring water or recommended equipment, you may not be able to continue on the hike, per organizer’s discretion.
YOUR RSVP: New attendees please take your RSVP seriously & cancel if you’re not going to make it. If RSVPs are closed reach out to the organizer in the COMMENTS of the specific event.
