Iron Mountain Dog Walk

Roxy Hart and I are going to head up Iron Mountain again for a sunrise hike before it heats up for the day.
We did a trial run this week, and we took four water breaks on the way up, a nice break at the top and two down. The trail is not easy. There are lots of rocks and switchbacks. But it is wide enough for people to get by the animals, and it's beautiful. I realize this may be a more difficult hike than many. Please know your pet's limitations, and a little extra water may be advisable. :)

Mileage: 6 miles
elevation gain: 1,122 feet
type: out and back, some rocks, switchbacks

No more than 2 dogs per person, no retractable leashes allowed, and dogs must maintain a good distance apart from other dogs on the hike. Please pack plenty of water for your dog and yourself.
Non-dog owners are welcome to join us. (All of Carmen's rules apply.)
