I am repeating this event . Instead of walking up from Birdrock Coffee Roasters we will park along N. Torrey Pines Rd and meet at the intersection of N. Torrey Pines Rd & Carmel Valley Rd. Intersection. We will stop by the by the wooden Falcon Sculpture as noted on the pin.
NOT STROLLER FRIENDLY
We will walk North on part trail/paved road to Powerhouse Park in Del Mar. We'll be weaving through the neighborhood on our way to Powerhouse Park where we will stop for photos, water and a bathroom break. Those who are interested can join me for coffee/breakfast at the Stratford Court Cafe Stratford Court Cafe - Food Menu. Breakfast is optional. You have the option to continue back to our start. Pack water for yourself and your dog. If you're participating in the Alphabet challenge this qualifies! We will start nlt 5 mins after posted start date. the 3 hours includes the breakfast stop.
Type of Trail: Out and Back on pavement
Difficulty: Easy-Mod
Elevation: tbd minor hills but be prepared
Length of Hike: 2 - 3 hours (depending on breakfast)
Pace: 2.9 mph, Dog walking pace, with necessary stops

If you cancel the morning of, outside of the rsvp deadline you will be removed from future hikes. Many events have waitlists and should you cancel last minute it is unfair to those who can attend the event.

This is a LADIES ONLY group that was created as a spinoff to San Diego Ladies Hiking and Walking & More for those who want to hike/walk with their dog(s). This is the official “dog friendly group” within the Ladies Meetup. The group is meant to be fun, positive & a safe platform for dog lovers who like to hike/walk with dogs. Members will discover trails in San Diego & vicinity and make friends while getting a workout.
General Guidelines for the group:
You must bring your own poop bags, water & water dish
No puppies. Dogs must be one year old
Fully Vaccinated
Leashed at all times
No retractable Leashes
No aggressive dogs
The host for each event may have specific rules. Please read event guidelines when you sign up. The number of attendees is set by the host of each event. Many of the events will have waitlists. Only sign up if you are sure you will attend. If you have to change you RSVP please do it within the RSVP window for your event.
The host/leaders of the events are not dog trainers or hiking specialists. You are solely responsible for your dog’s behavior. Please attend at your own risk and ask necessary questions before your event.

Dog Group: You are completely responsible for the behavior and welfare of your dog and yourself. The host is not at all responsible for you or your dog. By participating in this event, you acknowledge your responsibility and liability. Dogs must be at least 8 months old and fully vaccinated.
Bring water and a bowl for your dog. Bring water and a snack for yourself. Bring MORE water than you think you and your dog might need - summer hikes can be harder on your dog than you might think.

LEASH REQUIREMENT: No retractable leashes will be used on this hike. Only leashes 6' or less in length are permitted. Dogs must remain on-leash for the entire hike.
SPACE: Do not allow dogs to meet via nose to nose or nose to tail interactions, especially upon arrival. Maintain a minimum 3' distance between dogs at all times.
REACTIVITY: Please position your dog in the back of the pack if they are reactive or uncomfortable in a group. Alert other owners when their dogs get too close to your dog and/or invade your dog's space.
