This May marks **20 years** since the very first SDRuby meetup — and we’re throwing a party to celebrate the community that’s grown with us over two decades of Ruby, Rails, and camaraderie.

Join us on Thursday, May 1st at our usual spot on Ivy Street — or tune in virtually via Zoom — for a special night of stories, shoutouts, and lightning talks.

We’re inviting you to share a quick lightning talk on

* Something you’ve learned along the way,
* A moment SDRuby helped shape your journey,
* Or just what the community has meant to you.

No slides required, just come with a story, an insight, or some appreciation. Whether you’ve been with us since the early days or just dropped in recently, we’d love to see you there!

**Location**
We meet at [Ivy Street Coworking](https://ivystreet.co/) in South Park, San Diego. The entrance is on the Ivy Street side near the corner of 30th and Ivy Street.

**Parking and Transportation**

* Parking in South Park can be a little tricky. Your best bet is on the west side of 30th along Dale Street.
* South Park is accessible via the [MST Bus Route #2](https://www.sdmts.com/getting-around/departures-and-schedules/schedules/2) at the Juniper and 30th Street stop.
* There are bike racks on the Ivy Street side of the building near the door.
