SD Ruby Monthly Meeting
Details
FEATURED TALKS FOR MAY:
Ben Wanicur - "Working with Bootcamp Grads"
The talk is about my experience working with a recent bootcamp grad (I hired one for a contract), but even more so, it's about my own experience in learning software engineering as an adult, coming from another career.
Steven McFarlane - "Debugging in Ruby"
Bugs are inevitable in software. From misunderstanding the specifications of the work to technological misunderstanding, eventually something goes wrong and it is our job to fix it. Thankfully, the ruby community has developed many tools to help us resolve bugs in our Ruby code. In this talk I will dive into different strategies and tools to help you better understand how to attack a bug in ruby code, and find the quickest way to resolution.

We'll be giving away a few ebooks, software licenses, etc, using our super fun Rafflr!
AFTER PARTY
After the meeting, we'll head out for a round or two of drinks at Half Door Brewing Company!
