FEATURED TALK FOR MARCH:

Chris McCann- "AWS Lambda Functions in Ruby for Fun and Profit"
Amazon Web Services recently added Ruby to the list of languages you can use to build serverless functionality using its Lambda service. In addition to that, they also recently added a feature called "Layers" that lets you upload arbitrary libraries and executables to be used by your Lambdas. Chris McCann is going to bring all of these together to show you how to use your favorite language do something cool, without setting up a server, effectively for free.

LIGHTNING TALKS:

We're always open for people to share lightning talks. Feel free to sign up here: http://bit.ly/1Nsq9g8 (Google Form). Lightning talks are 5 minutes and a great chance to dip your toes in if you've always wanted to talk at SDRuby, but haven't had the chance to yet.

....

We meet the first Thursday of each month.

We'll start with networking over pizza and soda at 6:00.

Around 7:00, we'll jump in with a featured talk or two, and throw in some lightning talks and giveaways.

By about 8:30, we'll go out for beers and more networking.

Come for any or all of the fun!

All Ruby experience levels welcome!

Follow us on @sdruby (http://twitter.com/sdruby) on Twitter for meeting reminders and other updates.
