About the Heart Kitchen:
The Heart is a former catholic elementary school repurposed as a community center for local nonprofits. It is not yet ADA accessible. There is no way to avoid a flight of stairs leading in and out of the kitchen. It's located at 35 Hall Street in Phoenixville and is run by Ann's Heart of Phoenixville. The kitchen is in the lower level. Go down the stairs on the OUTSIDE of the building and enter via the door on the far right.
IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION:
Parking is very limited onsite, and for events we reserve it for those who need handicapped parking. (Please contact us in advance if this is you.) We also ask guests not to park on Hall Street where our resident neighbors already struggle to find adequate parking near their homes. There are several easy and convenient parking options nearby. Don't let parking concerns dissuade you.
The Senior Center is located at 153 Church Street which is one block north of Hall Street. After hours and on weekends, their parking lot is usually open to the public for a requested donation of $5.00. From their lot, cross the street and look for signs directing you to walk between the church and another building to access the Heart the back way. This walk is the equivalent of about a block and does include steps.
There is a paid parking lot on Church Street between Main and the Senior Center. It's $2/hour. Credit Card payments via Passport Parking App or by phone. Cash payments at the kiosk, which does not give change. From that lot, walk down toward the Church and look for event signs to access the Heart the back way.
The First Presbyterian Church parking lot on Main Street is located across the street from the church, whose address is 145 Main Street. They also ask for a $5 donation. From this lot, cross Main to the church and turn left. Walk 1.5 blocks past Walnut Street to Hall Street. Turn right onto Hall Street and walk 1.5 blocks east to the Heart. Total of ~3 blocks walk.
Holy Ghost Church is located at 70 Holy Ghost Way near the corner of Bridge and Starr Streets. They also allow the public to use their parking lot. Just park anywhere and look for signs. Donations are optional but greatly appreciated. From their lot, cross Starr Street and turn left. Walk up Starr Street (away from the traffic light) ~2 blocks to Church Street. Turn right, walk 1 block to Dean Street. Turn left and walk 1 block to Hall Street. Walk up Hall street 1 more block. Roughly 4 block walk total.
There is some free on-street parking along Main and the various side streets. Check for signage. Some spots on the smaller side streets are permit-only after 5pm and on weekends for the sake of the residents.
