About us
Sea & Fun Dublin ๐
Come for the sea. Stay for the fun!
Love sea swimming, meeting new people and a little adventure? Welcome to Sea & Fun Dublin!
We're a social community bringing people together through a shared love of the sea, friendship, fun and new experiences.
For us, the swim is just the beginning!
We'll explore swimming spots all along Dublin's beautiful coastline, with something different to look forward to along the way.
One week it might be a refreshing dip followed by coffee and chats. Another, a coastal walk and brunch, a seaside sauna, a picnic or even a board-game afternoon.
And who knows what else we'll come up with!
Love a quick dip? Brilliant. Prefer a longer swim? There's room for that too.
We hope to introduce occasional longer-distance swims for experienced open-water swimmers, while keeping shorter dips and social activities part of the same community. Everyone chooses what suits their experience and ability.
And when the sea has other plans?
We still get together!
If swimming conditions aren't safe, we'll swap the swim for a walk, sauna, coffee, games or another adventure. Because while we love the sea, it's the people and the experiences that make this community special.
What matters to us
๐ Friendship & belonging โ Genuine connections and a warm welcome for newcomers.
๐ Adventure & discovery โ Exploring different parts of Dublin's coastline and trying new experiences.
โ๏ธ Fun & spontaneity โ A little variety, a lot of laughter and something to look forward to.
๐ค Kindness & inclusion โ A respectful, welcoming atmosphere where everyone is encouraged to mix and feel part of the group.
๐ Community beyond the water โ Building friendships that don't depend on the weather or whether you fancy a swim.
We're not a competitive swimming club or a supervised swimming service. Everyone is responsible for assessing conditions and swimming within their own abilities. If conditions aren't suitable, we stay out of the water.
No pressure to impress. No need to know anyone. Just bring yourself and a sense of adventure!
The sea brings us together. The fun and friendships keep us coming back.
