Since 2006, the Paddling Film Festival World Tour has been showcasing the very best paddling films. The World Tour screens in more than 120 cities around the world including Vancouver. View this year's best paddling films and get yourself inspired to explore rivers, lakes and oceans, push extremes, embrace the paddling lifestyle and appreciate the world's wild places. Film selections include sea kayaking, whitewater, stand up paddleboarding, canoeing and more.
Hosted by the SKABC in partnership with BC Marine Trails Network. All net proceeds of the event will be used to develop the Howe Sound BCMT campsites under SKABC stewardship.
There will be door prizes, a raffle, silent auction, and more. Special thanks to Skyview Outdoors for donating kayaking gear including a Boreal Epsilon sea kayak.
To get there: use the Langara main entrance on 49th, Theatre A130. There is parking off Ontario Street.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m. to socialize and browse the silent auction. There will be light refreshments but no food sales in the venue. So eat supper first or bring your own munchies! Films start at 7:00 p.m.
