Whether you're a regular in the Mediterranean waters or just starting out with open water swimming, this is a great opportunity to enjoy the sea and connect with fellow swimmers.

Please note: You must be able to swim to join this event! We'll be swimming about one kilometer. This is an informal, non-coached meetup, and everyone takes part at their own risk.

Frequently Asked Questions

• Where can I leave my belongings while swimming?
We ask someone on the beach—often the friendly folks playing volleyball—to keep an eye on our things while we’re in the water.

• Do I need a swim buoy?
Some swimmers use them, others don’t. It’s completely up to you.

• Do I need a wetsuit?
That depends on the season and your personal comfort. Some hardy swimmers stick with just skimpy speedos year-round, while others prefer a wetsuit until the water really warms up. Whatever your style, you're welcome!

• How far do we swim?
We usually aim for around 1km, but it’s flexible. You can swim more or less depending on your comfort and experience.

• What if I’m slower than others?
No problem at all—this is a relaxed, social swim, not a race. We try to stay within sight of each other and regroup as needed.

• Is there somewhere to change?
There are no formal changing facilities, so most people change on the beach—bring a towel or a changing robe if you’d like some privacy.
