Sea to Shore Explorers is a community for anyone who feels drawn to the ocean—whether you're a curious beginner, a nature-loving family, or someone looking to meet like-minded adventurers.
We host monthly guided tidepooling experiences where you’ll get up close with incredible marine life—sea stars, anemones, octopuses, crabs, and more—while learning how to explore responsibly and protect these fragile ecosystems.
As we grow, we’ll expand into snorkeling adventures, special themed events, and collaborations with other local groups to create unique ocean experiences for:

Our events are equal parts education, connection, and fun. Whether you’re coming to learn, relax, meet new people, or just spend time by the water, you’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for the ocean—and maybe a few new friends.

Earth Day Celebration
Birdrock Waterfront, 403 Sea Ridge Dr, San Diego, CA, USCelebrate Earth Day in San Diego with Sea to Shore Explorers! 🌎🌊 Join us in La Jolla for a unique coastal experience featuring a guided tidepool tour, hands-on marine education, and a meaningful beach cleanup.
We’ll begin at 12 PM with an expert-led tidepooling adventure, where you’ll explore the incredible intertidal zone and meet local marine life up close—from crabs and sea anemones to sea stars and more. Learn how to safely and respectfully interact with these fragile ecosystems while discovering the hidden world along the Southern California coast.
From 1–2 PM, we’ll give back to the ocean with a community beach cleanup, helping protect the habitats we just explored. Gloves and bags provided—just bring your love for the ocean!
Afterward, we’ll head to Board n Beans to relax, connect, and celebrate Earth Day together.
