THIS EVENT IS NOW BEING HOSTED VIRTUALLY ON WEBEX MEETINGS, and is no longer being held at GoDaddy

Same topic, different location! If you’re in Seattle and work in a large office, there’s a good chance you’ve been affected by the safety precautions many companies are taking by moving to remote work. We are respecting that sentiment and going virtual as well! Join us online for the first ever seaDUXX virtual meetup with hosts Cheryl Couris and Caryn Wille.

Because of the virtual nature of this meetup, please feel free to share this with your network across the board! Anyone can join from anywhere for this one!

DESCRIPTION

As designers of human experiences, it is our job to put a great deal of thought and empathy into every pixel placement, interaction, and flow. Because we are often invested in our solution, feedback can either be exceedingly gratifying, thoroughly defeating, or a combination of both. Like any other important discussion, design critiques can be an emotional ride if process and intricacies are not acknowledged and well defined.

Cheryl Couris and Caryn Wille, the dynamic duo responsible for the “UX of You” podcast, are coming together live to discuss their extensive and diverse experience in giving and receiving feedback. They will help us define “good” and “bad” feedback, with clear and practical examples. We’ll walk away with techniques for providing “good” feedback to avoid contributing to an emotional roller coaster for others, and means to identify/recognize when we are receiving less than quality feedback so we are not deflected from the ultimate goal - our user’s delightful experience.
