Oct Book Club - The Devils and optional novella: A Short Stint in Hell

*Halloween Costumes are encouraged for this book club date, but totally optional of course. 👸🦸‍♂️🦹‍♀️🧙‍♂️🧝‍♀️ I'll be rocking one. Bonus points if it's book related.

The book we will read and discuss at this book club will be: The Devils by Joe Abercrombie, which was nominated by me! I love Joe Abercrombie's stuff, and while this read is gritty, dark, and, at times, violent, it's actually one of his lighter books. And the book is perfect for Halloween season.

Plus, as a bonus totally optional second read, Devan suggested A Short Stint in Hell by Steven L. Peck. This is a shorter work and also fits in with the October theme. Plus, it's really a short read/listen.

You know the drill. We're going to meet at Garrison City Beerworks. They have beer, NA options, and some light food.

There's street parking and some parking lots in the area. I usually reserve two tables in the back of Garrison City Beerworks. I usually make a reservation a week before once I know how many RSVPs there are. Please update your RSVP if you can't make it as soon as you know you can't make it.

I set the start time at 5 pm, but people trickle in for 30 mins or so, so don't worry about getting there on time. We won't dive into talking about the book until the bulk of the RSVPs show up.
