It's spooky season so we are going to read a classic scary read: "Frankenstein" by Mary Shelley, which was offered up by Katherine. Did you know Mary Shelley wrote this at 18 and published it by 20? Wild, right? And, since this is a shorter read, we are going to add another retro scary short story (free to read online) Link to the free short story "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream" by Harlan Ellison. This was offered up by Kate. Two short reads with a scary theme during the New England fall season. Seems appropriate to me.

We are going to meet at Garrison City Beerworks. We typically meet in the backroom there. I will call the week of to see that they aren't doing any events back there. If that fails, we can always pivot to the Dover Otto (less than a block away) and I will, of course, update this page with any location changes.

Please update your RSVP if you can't make it as soon as you know you can't make it. It helps us out

The start time is: 5:30pm and we won't dive into talking about the book until the bulk of the RSVPs show up.

Message me in the app or post a comment in the group with any comments or concerns. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

As usual, I challenge you all to come up with a question to pose to the group about the books for when we meet up.

Happy Reading! ๐Ÿ˜Š
