ONLINE: Tiny Victory Gardens with Acadia Tucker (Branching Out / Garden Series)

Details
Acadia Tucker joins us to share wisdom from her just released book about gardening in containers.
Cultivating your own food is a meaningful way to promote resilience in your household and, by sharing your knowledge— along with the fruits and vegetables of your labors—with neighbors, it can do the same for your community. But what if you don’t have a yard?
Container gardening allows just about anyone to grow a decent amount of food, no backyard required. While growing food in pots may not do much to mitigate climate change like cultivating in backyard gardens, it can help us adapt to it by building stronger communities, supporting local pollinators, and expanding the reach of organic, regenerative agriculture.
In this session, we’ll talk about the tools and instructions needed to grow your own tiny victory garden both indoors and out. One that can supply you with as much, or as little, food as you’d like, grown in a way that helps the planet and builds more resilience into your life.
The BRANCHING OUT SERIES is cosponsored by a number of local permaculture groups; you only need to sign up on one of our pages. We are turning a problem into a solution by using our current online platform to bring speakers from far away and by combining efforts with other groups!
Also part of our Permaculture Gardening Series 2021: Build skills for growing your own food here in NH from a permaculture perspective: soil-building, health-promoting, organic choices and techniques.
COST: sliding scale $10-25 per person. A nonrefundable $10 deposit will hold your place. You can use paypal here or ask us where to send a check. If price is a barrier, contact Amy A.
