Harmony Haven is an organic 1/10th acre food forest in the heart of the Town of Berwick, Maine. Amrita and Dennis are both Master Gardeners who are newly transplanted from Southern Oregon where they were stewards of a beautiful six-acre property with an oak woodland, fruit trees and lots of perennial pollinator plants that supported a rich wildlife habitat. They have transformed their small city lot in Berwick into an lush food-producing haven that serves as a demonstration garden for other community members to see what is possible on a small property. They teach free classes on permaculture at the Berwick Public Library and videos of their classes are available on the library's website.

About Seacoast Permaculture's Summer Garden & Homestead Tours...
This event is part of the Seacoast Permaculture's Summer Garden & Homestead Tour series! Seeing what others are doing is a great way to get new ideas, learn new techniques and be inspired. The sites chosen are all in varied settings and different stages of development. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from each host about their original goals and plans, what has and hasn't worked out for them, and what they are currently developing. Each tour will end with time for questions and conversations. Sign up for just one or all of them.
