Tour: Dandelion Forest Farm
Details
Dandelion Forest Farm is an agroforestry farm started in April 2022 with help from the Southeast Land Trust by a chef, a farmer & a scientist. Their growing practices are inspired by permaculture, biodynamics, agroforestry & Korean natural farming. The common denominator is biodiversity & ecosystem health.
Their main focus is on edible perennial plants that grow well in the northeast- like chestnuts, elderberries, lavender, & pawpaws. Things are not in straight rows, there isn’t a tractor, & the soil is always covered by mulch or plants. They also keep chickens and honey bees and have started a PYO fruit & berry orchard.
COST: sliding scale of $10-30, payable at the event. No one turned away if unable to pay. Please bring cash or check!
