Poultry in Permaculture

Details

Incorporating animals into your homestead can bring many benefits. Food, labor, fertility, entertainment and joy! Poultry are the easiest and most accessible animal to add. Even so, knowing what you are getting into and designing ahead of time can result in this addition being a benefit and success - or not.

We invite you to come and learn about our chicken and duck keeping endeavors. We will show you housing and pasturing systems and talk about what has and has not worked for us in the dozen years that we have had these partners on our homestead.

TEXT: All attendees will also leave with a book about poultry-keeping so you can keep learning and have a reference after the class.

COST: Sliding scale of $20-40 with a $10 deposit required - here on paypal or by check: Seacoast Permaculture, 219 France Rd, Barrington NH 03825. If the fee is a barrier please reach out to Amy A.

Led by homesteaders and the co-owners of Living Land Permaculture Homestead, Amy Antonucci & Steve Diamond. They've had a breeding flock of chickens for about 15 years, and ducks for about 12. Learn more about them at: http://livinglandpermaculture.com/
