Join us to learn more about natural and green burial practices – approaches that minimize environmental impact, honor the cycle of life and work in harmony with nature. Also learn about the work going on to start a cemetery dedicated to green burial in the Seacoast of NH.

Presenter Sarah Arslanian is a caregiver and death doula living in Stratham. In 2024, she joined with other passionate locals to form Lotus and Lavender Natural Burial, a nonprofit dedicated to establishing a natural burial cemetery in the Seacoast.

OUR PRESENTER: Sarah Arslanian is a 35 year old death doula, holistic caregiver and “old soul” living in the Seacoast. She is the founder of Lotus and Lavender Natural Burial which supports green burial in Seacoast NH by establishing natural burial cemeteries and providing education and guidance around green burial practices. She has a degree in neuroscience and was previously a project manager for global health clinical research projects in neurology. In addition to embracing death in positive ways, she’s also passionate about researching her family ancestry, growing and drying flowers, paddleboarding, and deepening connection to oneself and others.
