Interviewer Manda Scott says: "In the midst of collapse it can be hard to imagine extending the franchise of legal rights and sovereignties to the More than Human world. And yet, if we’re to transcend this moment, it must be because we have become something other than we are now."

Brontie Ansell is the founder and co-director of Lawyers for Nature, a collective of lawyers who act to represent Nature. They reimagine the law and advocate for Nature to be given legal rights through education, Nature centric governance, consultancy, research and advocacy.

To clarify - for these discussions, we watch/listen to/read material ahead of time and then discuss it. The authors or speakers are not joining us - we are talking about their work ourselves.

In our Permaculture Topics Discussions & Book Studies, we aim to expand our knowledge of topics related to permaculture and to have an ongoing series where members can connect to build our community.
