Summer Potluck and Ice Cream Social

Celebrate Summer with Seacoast Permaculture members! Featuring fabulous food, a farm tour, live bluegrass music by 9 Lb Hamster, and great company!

We're excited to bring back 9LB Hamster, a Bluegrass Trio which plays at fairs and private events around the Seacoast area of New Hampshire. We consider them our "house band" for this summer gathering!

Please bring: a light dinner item to share with an ingredients list; your own beverage; your potluck kit (plate, bowl, cup, utensils, cloth napkin); a name tag for yourself if you happen to have one.

We also encourage people to bring homemade ice cream (or frozen yogurt, sorbet, etc.). Our board members will provide some, but it's appreciated if there are multiple interesting flavors to share and sample!

Cost: We ask for a nonrefundable deposit to reserve your spot. If paying through Meetup/paypal, the cost is $10.00. If paying by check, the cost is $8. Please see our fee statement below.

The funds will support us and Emerson House at Tuckaway Farm, an indoor/outdoor community space on a working farm available at tiered rental rates for mission-related (agriculture, environment, health and well being, social justice, etc) activities. The goal is to both share this space as a resource for healthy agriculture and community in the Seacoast.

Fee statement: We at Seacoast Permaculture feel there is value in keeping money local. So, we have decided to offer a small discount here to our members who pay with check or cash to encourage these forms of payment. With these, 100% of the money goes toward supporting our operations, events, and community work. You also aren't charged the extra meetup fee, so save even more than $2!

While Permaculture is about food growing, land use, energy, etc, it is also about building community and strengthening our connections with each other. We offer programming that honors and builds that aspect of our group and our lives. We hope you'll join us!
