Join us as we volunteer for It's My Estuary Day—a fun, free event which includes a coastal clean up, marine science education activities, & arts & crafts along with snacks & beverages for all.

Weather note: A high of 70F is predicted along with a small chance of rain, but we will have canopies up over our booths so no problems there.

RSVP & let us know how you'd like to help choosing among 5 options:

  1. Bringing scuba equipment for kids & adults to try on (on land).

  2. Helping with the coastal cleanup.

  3. Manning the Sea Gypsies booth to talk about how fun diving is while showing off scuba equipment. (We'll provide some talking points to help & others will be at the booth should questions arise.)

  4. Assisting with the set up of the overall event half an hour before it begins or the break down at the end.

  5. Supporting the teachers & kids with their onsite arts & crafts project to re-purpose recycled plastic.

We'd love it if you brought some plastic destined for the trash that kids can recycle into art during the event. (If it's clean, great. If not, it will be cleaned on site.)

You're also welcome to bring your family to enjoy a fun day in this coastline park!

(Afterwards, join us for drinks at a beer bar with more than 30 craft beers on tap & then lunch at the famous Randazzo's. RSVP here: www.meetup.com/seagypsies/events/260491025)

Special thanks to Adam who brought the Sea Gypsies into this event in his role with the NY State Marine Education Association aka NYSMEA.

Side note: This event is posted in a variety of forums so the guest list is larger than what is shown here.
