Boosting Creativity with Artificial Intelligence - Aaron Hockley

Details
We hear companies talk about artificial intelligence features, filters, and tools. You can't read a photography website lately without hearing about how AI is changing our capabilities. The topic of AI-powered image generation extends across industries, with issues around copyright and ethics reaching mainstream audiences.
Let's move from the abstract to the practical and look at how we can use artificial intelligence to add creativity to our images. We'll take a look at some of the Neural Filters in Adobe Photoshop. We will look at using AI image-generation tools to create images that can be incorporated as part of our own photographic art in conjunction with images we made with our camera. We'll consider how AI-powered rapid masking capabilities make it practical to perform more partial-image adjustments in less time, and how that can make it easier to give our work that extra "oomph" that may have taken much longer in the past.
My previous talk with SEAPUG was at a high level on how AI intersects with photography. This will be more in-depth and in-app as we look at several examples of putting artificial intelligence to work, with a focus on creative exploration.
