"Value-Based Workflow" in Photoshop involves utilizing the tonal values of an image to enhance color renditions and achieve a balanced composition. This approach focuses on the interplay of light and dark (the value structure) rather than solely on color hue or saturation. By meticulously adjusting and refining the values through techniques such as levels, curves, and gradients, artists can create depth, contrast, and emphasis in their work. This methodology allows the colors to resonate more effectively, as their vibrancy is grounded in a solid value foundation, ultimately leading to more harmonious and visually compelling images. The result is a nuanced blending of color and light that captivates viewers and enhances the overall aesthetic quality of the artwork.
