Inlinks CEO Dixon Jones, will speak about “13 Years of Changing Search. Has Google Run Out of Luck?”
Search London is 13 years old, and since its inception, Google has been the dominant player in search. But last year, its CEO called a "Code Red" for the company as its market dominance was seriously challenged by ChatGPT. Yet its shares still rose by 59% year on year. 13 years ago, Google was not even publicly traded. What has Google done in those 13 years to weather storms and stay relevant, when all other challengers have failed?
Nicolas Piquero
Nicolas will speak about:
Topic clusters and semantic relationships: the winning combination
- His talk is about a content + semantic technique called topical mesh. A topical mesh is a content strategy created over a semantic corpus where the internal linking is set up through a semantic proximity factor.
- The aim is to cover a topic by maximizing the PageRank flow throughout the pages.
- This is a concept Nicolas has been experiencing and setting up for his clients for a few years.
- This differs from a "classic" content strategy where the analysis is most of the time based on keywords, search volume, keyword difficulty, etc.
- Topical mesh is purely based on semantic relationships. It is also aligned with the E-E-A-T concept, as what you look for when designing a topical mesh is to cover a topic as a whole by offering a solid expertise, in order to be considered as a trustworthy reference.
Rebecca Broad
Bex will present: Shoestring socials: rulebreaking to unleash the power of organic
- Three hours a week to revive two zombie social media accounts and start another from scratch – with no paid budget, and 22 stakeholders to keep happy? Sure thing.
- Bex will talk through how a scrappy approach to organic social media management achieved the unlikely.
- Discussing the ‘rules’ she broke along the way, attendees will come away with ideas on how they can be more intuitive with their own social presence.
Chima Mmeje
Chima will share with us "How to Grow Your Personal Brand With Thought Leadership Content`"
Are you thinking about building a personal brand and growing your audience but not sure where to start? This short but highly effective talk contains practical tips you can implement today to create content that positions you as a thought leader in your niche and attract a loyal following.
